About Us

Chicago Food Planet, Inc. was established to help visitors and local residents find the ultimate food and cultural experience both on and off-the-beaten-path. We began our research by enjoying the delicious ethnic foods and diverse musical and entertainment venues that existed within Chicago’s liveliest, historic neighborhoods.

The adventure truly began 7 years ago by simply strolling through these wonderful neighborhoods and taking in all that was offered. We sampled the perfect potato pancake, sipped on succulent Rooibush red teas, and tasted fresh cinnamon from perhaps the best spice and herb specialty store in the entire world. From there we relaxed in a tiny café and listened to an elderly man play the piano as though he had 15 fingers.

These experiences, and many others, inspired us to create Chicago’s finest culinary and cultural tasting tour that is now given in the most beautiful and heartiest areas of Chicago.

Chicago Food Planet offers unique and entertaining walking, tasting, and discovery food tours to residents and visitors from around the world. We highlight the venues and establishments that locals frequent and incorporate unique and delicious food tastings. Besides the great food, all participants learn the history, culture, architecture, and neighborhood entertainment offerings. Our goal is for everyone to return to these neighborhoods with confidence and take advantage of the wide range of food and cultural options that they offer.
